1. LIGHT OF LIFE SCHOLARSHIP

In the spirit of our motto “Igniting the light of life”, and in the back ground of years of mercy the management of BVM Holy Cross College has instituted LIGHT OF LIFE scholarship in the year 2016.The main objective of this award is to encourage and promote the students for excellence. The scholarship will be given to two first year and second year degree students from each batch including BCA, B.Com. Comp, B.Com. Marketing, B.Sc. Mathematics, and BA Visual Communication. An amount of Rs. 5,000/- each will be given to the selected students.
Objectives
• To encourage the first year and second year degree students to excel in academics.
• To assist the economically backward students.
• To enhance the competitive spirit of students.
Criteria:
• Only first year and second year degree students are eligible for this scholarship.
• The student must secure 90% attendance in all previous semesters.
• For first year’s, the students should secure minimum 75% marks in plus two board exam.
• For second year’s, the students should secure minimum 75% marks in all subjects in the university exams.
• HOD and class teachers must certify the overall behaviour of the student.
• Class assignments, presentation, co-curricular activities performance will also be considered for selection.
• Recommendation of the class teacher is needed.
• Interested students must give application in the prescribed format.
• Economic backwardness will be verified by the scholarship committee.
• Committee decision will be final.

2. POPE FRANCIS ENDOWMENT

Pope Francis, 266 th Pope of the Catholic Church and prophet of the poor influences the whole world with his charisma and radical approach to the structural systems and practice. He has declared 2016 as the year of mercy. In the spirit of his vision and life, the faculty members of the BVM College instituted an endowment in the year of 2016 in his name for the economically backward but meritorious PG students of the college. An amount of Rs. 3,000/- for one student from each batch will be distributed from this endow-

3. JOSEPH AND ALEYAMMA ARAMPULICKAL MEMORIAL AWARD


James Joseph Arampulickal is a philanthropist settled in America. He has a great interest in supporting those who need assistance in academic. He instituted a scholarship in memory of his parents Joseph and Aliyamma Joseph in the year 1998 with a fixed amount $1001/..
The capital amount in 2016 is Rs. 1,10,000/. Scholarship will be given to two students of third year BCA. An amount of Rs. 4,500/- will be given to the selected students from the interest of the fixed amount.

4. K M CHERIAN & CICILY CHERIAN KARIMTHAKARACKAL AWARD

They are natives from Mutholy, and now settled in US. They are taking special interest in supporting students who have high academic performance. They instituted a scholarship in the year 1997 with Rs.50,000/ as fixed deposit. The capital amount in 2016 is Rs. 1,40,000/. Scholarship will be given to one student of third year B.Sc. Mathematics and BA Visual Communication. The amount of Rs. 5,000/- each will be given to the selected students from the interest of the fixed amount.

5. GEORDY JACOB AND THOMSON JACOB PLALICKAL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

       Geordy Jacob was a student of BVM College studying in BCA during 2007-2010. His brother, Tomson Jacob was also a student of BVM studying in B.Com. during 2011-2012. Now both are on their eternal home. Their family members instituted a scholarship to remember their happy memories in the year 2012.
The capital amount is Rs. 50,000/- (Rs.40,000/- donated by their family and Rs. 10,000/- donated by the PTA of the college). Scholarship will be given to one student of third year B.Com Comp. Application. An amount of Rs. 5,000/-

6. ABHILASH GEORGE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP OF EXCELLENCE

   Abhilash George was a student of BVM college studying in B.Com Comp. Application during 2010-2013. Now he is in his eternal home. BVM college along with his classmates instituted a scholarship to remember his happy memories in the year 2013.
The captal amount is Rs. 30,000/-: (Rs. 15,000/- donated by 2013 batch B.Com pass out students, Rs. 10,000/- donated by the PTAof the college and Rs. 5,000/ donated by his family). Scholarship will be given to one student of third year B.Com. Marketing. An amount of Rs. 3,000/- will be given to the selected student from the interest of the fixed deposit.
