BVM Holy Cross College Placement & Internship Cell offers the students a variety of opportunities for professional progression and equips them with the knowledge and abilities necessary to succeed in the corporate world. The Cell enhances the institution’s reputation for quality and excellence. A comprehensive programme is designed with the goal of improving the “Employability skills” of students and to meet the unique needs and potential of each student throughout the course. The Department of Social Work in association with the Placement Cell of BVM Holy Cross
College, Cherpunkal organized a Campus Recruitment Drive for MSW students in collaboration
with Easedementia on 09 March 2026 at the B-Hub of the college at 10:00 AM. The programme
aimed to provide students with an opportunity to explore professional careers in the field of
dementia care and psychosocial support. A total of 29 MSW students registered for the
recruitment drive and actively participated in the selection process. The event created a valuable
platform for students to interact with the recruiting organization, understand the nature of work
in dementia care, and gain exposure to professional opportunities in the social work sector.
A Mega Job Fair was organized at Mahatma Gandhi University on March 7, 2026, providing a
significant platform for job seekers to connect with leading employers from various sectors. The
event witnessed the participation of more than 50 reputed companies, offering over 1000 job
vacancies across different fields such as customer service, IT, finance, sales, healthcare, and
administration. The job fair created an excellent opportunity for graduates and young
professionals to explore diverse career options and interact directly with recruiters from
well-established organizations. The students from BVM Holy Cross College participated in the
Mega Job Fair conducted by MG University.
The recruitment drive included multiple stages such as resume screening, aptitude assessments,
group discussions, and personal interviews. Students and job seekers actively participated in the
event, making it a dynamic and productive platform for employment opportunities. The Mega
Job Fair not only helped candidates understand industry expectations but also enabled companies
to identify talented and skilled individuals for their workforce. Overall, the event served as a
valuable initiative in bridging the gap between education and employment while promoting
career development among aspiring professionals.
A campus placement drive by Allianz was conducted at St. Thomas College, Pala on February
20, 2026, for the post of Associate Customer Service. The recruitment drive provided students
with an opportunity to explore career prospects in the customer service and corporate sector. A
total of 44 students from BVM Holy Cross College, Cherpunkal participated in the drive and
actively engaged in the selection process. The recruitment process included different stages
designed to assess communication ability, problem-solving skills, and overall suitability for the
role.
The placement drive served as a valuable platform for students to gain exposure to professional
recruitment procedures and understand the expectations of multinational organizations. Through
this opportunity, students were able to interact with recruiters, showcase their interpersonal and
communication skills, and learn about career opportunities in the customer service domain. The
event also strengthened the placement initiatives of the college and encouraged students to
prepare themselves for future career opportunities in reputed organizations like Allianz.
A campus placement drive by Sutherland was conducted at St. Thomas College, Pala on January
21, 2026. The drive provided an excellent opportunity for students to explore career prospects in
the corporate sector. A total of 40 students from BVM Holy Cross College, Cherpunkal actively
participated in the recruitment process. The selection process included different stages such as
aptitude assessment, communication evaluation, and personal interviews, enabling students to
demonstrate their skills and professional readiness.
Out of the participating candidates, 8 students from BVM Holy Cross College were successfully
placed at Sutherland. The placement drive proved to be a valuable platform for students to gain
exposure to corporate recruitment procedures and enhance their employability skills. The
successful placement of students reflects the effectiveness of the training and guidance provided
by the institution, as well as the dedication and capability of the students who took part in the
recruitment process.
