Scholarships

  1. Rev. Dr. Mathew Maleparambil Memorial Endowment for MSW, M. Com. & MSc (C.S)

The scholarship will be given to the PG students of MSW, M. Com. and M.Sc. Computer Science. An amount of Rs. 5,000/- each will be given to the selected students.

Objectives

  1. To encourage the PG students to excel in academics.
  2. To assist the economically backward students.
  3. To enhance the competitive spirit of students.

Criteria

  1. Only MSW, M. Com & M.Sc. (C.S.) students are eligible for this scholarship.
  2. The student must secure at least 90% attendance in all the previous semesters.
  3. The student should secure minimum 75% marks in all subjects in the previous university exams.
  4. HOD and class teachers must certify the overall behavior of the student.
  5. Class assignments, presentation and co-curricular activities performance will also will be considered for selection.
  6. Recommendation of the class teacher is needed.

2 . POPE FRANCIS ENDOWMENT

Pope Francis, 26th Pope of the Catholic Church and prophet of the poor influences the whole world with his charisma and radial approach to the structural systems and practice. He declared 2016 as the Year of Mercy. In the spirit of his vision and life, the faculty members of the BVM College instituted an endowment in the year 2016 in his name for the economically backward but meritorious M.Sc. Mathematics final year students of the college. An amount of Rs. 5000/- for one student will be distributed from this endowment.

James Joseph Arampulickal is a philanthropist settled in America. He has a great interest in supporting those who need assistance in academic. He instituted a scholarship in memory of his parents, Joseph and Aleyamma Joseph in the year 1998 with a fixed amount $1001. The capital amount in 2016 was Rs. 1,10,000. Scholarship will be given lo two students of third year BCA. An amount of Rs. 4,500/- will be given to the selected students from the interest of the fixed amount.

  1. K.M. CHERIAN & CICILY CHERIAN KARIMTHAKARACKAL AWARD

They are natives from Mutholy, and now settled in the USA. They are taking special interest in supporting students who have high academic performance. They instituted a scholarship in the year 1997
with Rs.50,000 as fixed deposit. The capital amount in 2016 was Rs. 1,40,000. Scholarship will
be given to one student of third year B.Sc. Mathematics and BA Visual Communication. An amount of Rs. 5,000/- each will be given to the selected students from the interest of the fixed amount.

  1. GEORDY JACOB AND THOMSON JACOB PLALICKAL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Geordy Jacob was a student of BVM College studying in BCA during 2007-2010. His brother, Thomson Jacob was also a student of BVM studying in B. Com. during 2011-2012. Now both are in their
eternal home. Their family members instituted a scholarship to cherish their lovely memories in the year 2012.
The capital amount is Rs. 50,000/- (Rs.40,000/- donated by their family and Rs. 10,000/- donated by the PTA of the college). Scholarship will be given to one student of third year B. Com Computer Application an amount of Rs.5000.
