PROGRAMMES AND ACTIVITIES

1. DISTRIBUTION OF ONLINE STUDY MATERIALS

HOPES provide right hand education to the marginalized children with the support of the sponsors. HOPES planned to provide online study materials like Mobile phone, Laptop for the higher education students in future.

2. FLOOD RELIEF ACTIVITY

In the year 2020 Kerala affected flood and most of NGOs participated in the relief activity. As part of follow up activities HOPES provide material assistance to the flood affected people.

3. RED RIBBON CLUB

HOPES carries out blood donation activities of the college. Around 50 students of the college donated blood to various persons at different hospitals in association with the NSS unit.

4. BLOOD DONATION PROGRAMS

The students from social work department in connection with HOPES involved in the blood donation in different hospitals in Kottayam district in association with KAPS Kottayam.

5. CHILD EDUCATION SPONSORSHIP PROGRAMME

CESP is the major flagship project of HOPES. ‘Through the children to the family, and to the community is the major aim of CSED. HOPES sponsored around 45 students with financial assistance and organized personality development programme to them. HOPES also sponsored economically backward students in the campus to the society.

6. NULM National Urban livelihood programme

HOPES is now conducting Tally course for economically backward people on free of cost. The project is in association with NULM. There were many people who got benefit from it.

7. YOUR VOICE MATTERS-VOICE DONATION CAMPAIGN (2023-2024)

HOPES Conducted voice donation campaign for supporting the Blind community in the society. As a part of reading day observation, the social work students conduct a voice donation campaign. They collect stories pomes etc as mp3 format and handover to the students in Govt. Blind School Olassa.

8. YOUR VOTE YOUR VOICE (2023-2024)

Your vote; Your voice campaign, was organized at Bishop Vayalil Memorial Holy Cross College, Cherpunkal. An opportunity has been prepared for the students who are over 18 years of age to add their name to the voter’s list. Campaign reminds as that voting is citizen’s right and duty.
