Department of Computer Science

The Department of Computer Science was established in the year 1995 which marked the beginning of the College. The Computer Science department was promoted to Postgraduate Department in 2001 by sanctioning MSc Computer Science under MG University. We currently offer 3 year BCA (2 Batches) and 2 year MSc Computer Science programmes. The department is well equipped with 11 experienced and expert faculties to mould the students into software professionals with social commitment, leadership and dedication.  We have 3 computer labs with 160 high end machines with Linux platform and high speed internet connection. Also we have a well-furnished Library with 2182 Computer Science text books. Mr Binu M. B. MSc, MPhil is the Head of the Department with 23 years of experience. The Department aims to attain academic excellence and personality development to create an aptitude in students for placement .The Placement Cell of the department arranges special training programmes for placement. We have also signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with reputed institutes for academic and industry linkages.

Placement Cell

The department is fully resourced with a well-managed placement cell. The Placement Cell of the department actively functions for getting maximum number of Campus Placements for BCA and MSc Computer Science students. Regular mathematical aptitude and soft skills training from experts are conducted by the department in association with Industry experts. The Computer Science department has the track record of securing the highest number of placements  for BCA among the Colleges in Mahatma University. Wipro, TCS, Infosys and  Deloitte  are our major recruiters.
