Our Film Club is a fervent community of movie enthusiasts who convene to delve into the realm of film , spanning from timeless classics to the latest blockbusters and everything in between. We are here to engage in discussions, dissect narratives, and admire the art of storytelling through the captivating eye of a camera. So grab some popcorn, settle into a cozy spot, and let’s embark on an expedition through the enthralling universe of cinema together. Cue the lights, roll the camera, let the magic unfold!

July 11- Behind the Scene- Chat with the Director

The event commenced with an opening prayer, setting a reflective and respectful tone for the occasion. Fr. Geemon Jose, Head of the Department of Film and Media Studies, warmly welcomed the guests and participants, introducing the purpose of the event and emphasizing the significance of the short film Nethi and the subsequent discussion session. The college principal, Rev. Fr. Dr. Baby Sebastian, blessed the event and shared insights on the importance of such cultural and educational activities for students, encouraging engagement with the arts. The short film Nethi, directed by Roy Karakkattu, was screened to the audience, receiving an enthusiastic response. Following the screening, an interactive session was facilitated by Mr. Bilahari Salgunan, Coordinator of Montage, where Director Roy Karakkattu, Cinematographer Mr. Shinoob P. Chacko, and Sound Recording Pilot Mr. Siva Prasad engaged in a lively discussion with the students. The session also included a Q&A segment, providing students with valuable insights into the filmmaking process and the director’s experiences. The event concluded with Mr. Bilahari Salgunan expressing heartfelt gratitude to Director Roy Karakkattu, his crew, the college principal, Fr. Geemon Jose, and all attendees. Special thanks were given to the Film Club members for their efforts in organizing the event.
